Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. The room overlooked the Monsieur Hulot Beach, with a spectacular view of the local coast. Unfortunately, the weather was stormy during part of my visit, which meant that I couldn't spend any time sitting on the good-sized balcony outside the double doors to the room. Located in a pleasant little village which has lots of references to Monsieur Hulot and his famous Holiday there in the 1950s. Reachable by bus from St Nazaire railway station (bus service U3 at the time of writing, final destination Chemin de la Source, but alight a few stops before it at the "Jacques Tati" stop which is about five minutes' walk to the hotel).

As Tati fans, this was a special treat. Inside, the hotel has little or nothing that is reminiscent of Monsieur Hulot’s Holiday, but the beach and the whole atmosphere of the town are pretty much un-sullied, despite the modern architecture.

The hotel is right on the beach. We booked a room with a sea view and it was fabulous to go to sleep listening to the sound of the waves in a really comfortable bed. There was a very good choice of things for breakfast and the coffee was really good. As well as the breakfast room, there was a restaurant/bar on the beach and the main restaurant overlooked the sea. The staff were all very friendly and patient while I tried using my schoolgirl French and very helpful when I couldn't manage! M. Hulot Plage is a sort of village within the village of Saint Marc sur Mer and is a charming little place. There are 4 or 5 restaurants and a quirky bar in very easy walking distance from the hotel. We stayed 4 nights, but could easily have stayed for longer. Absolutely loved it.

This is an iconic hotel in a stunning location. My room had an incredible view of the golden sands and shimmering sea, breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice (although a little expensive at 14 euros). Staff were busy but efficient and friendly. Shout out to Meline on reception. It was nice to be looked after by someone with such excellent English. No aircon but the fan was useful

Amazing location! It reminded me of old american movies of the 40's and 50's somehow. The hotel is actually on the beach. You can't get any closer. Extremely big balcony with sun beds and incredible view at the ocean. Very big room. Nice staff. Breakfast room and Restaurant with view. Actually everything has a view. Although the hotel is a little bit worn out, I had one of the most amazing stays of my life here. We booked the hotel on a very short term, not knowing what we get. What we got was ten times above our expectation. I became a big fan of Best Western, because I realized here, that I liked every single stays in a Best Western hotel so far, so I joined their bonus club. From now on I will try to stay in a Best Western hotel, wherever I will go.

The hotel is located right on the beach and the terrace rooms have wonderful views. The terrace is very large (double the size of the room?). The room had all we wanted. The wifi was excellent and allowed my tablet to tune into Radio Caroline while also viewing my emails without interruptions. The car park behind the hotel was quiet and safe. The staff were really friendly.

The room had a very comfy bed.The room was a little on the small side. There was an electric kettle for our use. Modern en suite with shower.

beautiful hotel in stunning location right on the beachfront, with lovely exterior places to sit and enjoy the view. we chose a more expensive room with sea view - well worth it! This hotel features in an old French comedy Mr Hulot’s Holidays so we’re looking forward to watching it on DVD when we get home, and there’s a lovely bronze sculpture of the character on the promenade.

Well, there is absolutely no better location on the beach in this part of Brittany! My room was spacious enough and access to everything in the hotel was easy. The location again, location, location, location. On a scale of value from 1-10 … it’s a 12!
